Alex was trying to teach his children the value of sharing. He honestly didn't give a shit if they shared with other people their age or whatever, but the important lesson here was to share with their mother, especially if it was food. And to not share with their uncle, because they'll never get that shit back as long as they live, more than likely. Why was he waiting so long to teach his oldest children this important life lesson? Because he's lazy and forgot. Whoops. 'Hey kids did I mention your mother will send out a demon to possess you if you don't share with her? I didn't? My bad~'. Yeah. Father of the year. "So...yes. I would advise sharing food with your mother if she asks for it." He finishes simply, acting like this wasn't a weird-ass request. Much vague, Alex.

Noel nods like there was nothing to ask about this request. In the eyes of the tiny ginger girl, if one of her parents said it was right, it was obviously, indisputably correct with no debate about it. Even if there were flaws in the logic. But she's five. So she doesn't really logic well yet. Share food with Mommy. That was simple enough, right?

Dylan had already learned this lesson the hard way, but hadn't told her dad about it. She had sworn Casey into silence as well. "Welp. There's finally an explanation for when I was five and Casey had to distract mom so she wouldn't totally kill me for not handing over a cracker." Casey looked at his twin, furious for just blurting that out without even thinking about what would happen, but didn't say anything because he was used to her doing that by now.

"Yeeeeah...that would be why. Your mother...likes food." That's all Alex had to say about the situation. At least Dylan and Casey were still alive. That was a plus. Although it would've been really nice of you to explain this to them before, dude. Before they almost died. Fathering skills, level Alex. "That is the moral of this story."

"I know," Casey informed him without a second thought. "Aunt Neya taught us to share at an early age. She told us that our mom always had to have food, and that it would be good not to be like Uncle Tet anyways. Dylan only didn't share because she didn't want to listen. It was a good learning experience for her." I feel like everyone in the group would help raise all the kids. Especially Neya, who has none of her own.

Probably. Life lessons through the sin group. That wouldn't be mentally horrifying at all. Never. Those poor kids. "Yeah, that is probably not the best role model." Let's try not to be like any of your aunts and uncles, actually, they all have their little quirks and shit. Or any of the others that I imagine claim to be their aunts and uncles, but aren't actually related to them. "So Dylan, would you share with your mother next time?" He asks, a rhetorical question. What idiot looks almost certain death in the face and repeats?

Dylan looked over at him, "I'm no longer two and cry if my food is stolen, do you really think that mom even asks anymore?"

[sub]"I figured she did not, but it would not hurt to ask, just in case." Alex responded, shrugging. Sound logic, I suppose. "On the off chance that the outcome was different."

"I'm not the first version of my sister, hun, I'm not going to hurt children," Sam said as she walked into the room with paint on her cheek and kissed Dylan on the head. "Hope I didn't terrify you too much." The twins didn't ask about the first version comment. Their parents were completely weird, and they both knew it.
Dylan shrugged to her mother and just said, "Daddy's overreacting again. Cas and I know you wouldn't hurt us, or Noel. Especially Noel, actually. If anyone, you'd probably hurt Takene. Everyone would hurt Takene."
Casey sighed, "Dyl, we talked about this. You can't keep hating Takene for falling asleep and falling into you and Brad Powers making out."
Dylan shrieked, "STOP CALLING HIM BRAD POWERS THIS ISN'T TEEN WITCH."

Daddy overreacts a lot, Dylan. You should be used to this. He's kind of a twitchy little guy. Thankfully, somehow he missed the comment about making out with Brad Powers, although if he had heard it, he probably would have paid Takene or something. Yeah. He more than likely would, without a doubt in his mind.

Noel just kind of follows the conversation without really following it. Instead, she just clings to Sam's leg because she hadn't seen Sam that morning really.

Sam smiled and picked up her baby girl because, well, Noel is her baby. The twins started fighting in their own little world while the goat came up and hopped on a chair like a boss, starting to eat everyone's breakfast. This thing had Sam's appetite.

Alex doesn't miss a beat...or even try to chase Goat away from the table. He just kind of pulls his own plate out of the goat's reach and starts eating. He just let the twins fight, because honestly he wasn't one to correct them with the way he would and still fought with Anne. Those rare occasions, anyway.

Noel smiles at her mother, happy to see her. She just kind of snuggled into Sam in that adorable way five year olds did.

I don't even know what Noel looks like, and I know she's the most adorable child ever. Dylan punched Casey in the shoulder, and the lil' nerd just glared before freaking out that Goat was eating his toast. Dylan laughed until she realized all her food was gone.

I think she was the one that looked like Sam, with red hair and whatnot. And she is the most adorable child ever.

Alex pushes over his plate to Dylan. He didn't eat much anyway, and since the goat ate her food, why not?

Dylan gave her dad a bright grin and ate away. Sam did what was expected and stole some food, because well she's Sam. Dylan pretended to stab her mom's hand with a fork with a grin.

Typical morning here. Goat eats food, Sam steals food, Dylan pretends to stab Sam. All in a morning's work, I guess. Alex, on the other hand, was looking out the window. "Dani in three...two...."

With that, their front door just kind of opens. "Good morning.~" She greets, grinning. She had not the slightest idea of where her brothers were. She was just here to drag Dylan and Casey to Walmart. Because fucking shit up at Wally World. The blonde figured Jon and Des would catch up eventually.

Noel stops snuggling Sam for a moment to wave at her older cousin before going back to being adorable.

Alex waves before making a bowl of cereal to make up for sacrificing his breakfast. Because cereal. Fuck yeah.

"So are you guys ready to go to Walmart?" Dani asks, looking curious. Dani. Child. They're eating. What do you think that answer is?

"We are." With a confident nod, Dani continues with, "Because it's always fun to mess with the people of Wally World." That is true. Your parents could tell you that much.

Dylan rolled her eyes at her cousin, grabbed a piece of toast and shoved the plate back at her dad. She threw an apple at Casey's head before getting up, saying, "Cas, move out." Casey snorted, waved good bye to his parents and followed his sister's lead.

Dani led the way, kind of half-prancing to Walmart. The weirdo. Speaking of this weird kid, her equally odd brothers were missing today. Which was weird, because you rarely see Dani without Desmond, at the very least.
