Alex gives a small shrug. "Nothing to argue. It involves less angry sisters, less dead sisters because I'm pretty sure Leon could snap her in fucking half, and less arguing." It was his best idea.

Sam didn't want to fight, so she didn't comment. Instead, she just hopped down from the tree and asked, "You coming back to dinner? No one else will let me steal food off their plate without commenting."

Alex nodded quietly. Scared of Leon or not, he couldn't let Sam starve by simply eating just the food on her plate he needed to face his fears eventually. He couldn't spend centuries running from a man that couldn't legally kill him in this life, and who wouldn't break the law anyway.

Sam grinned, "Then let's go." She was trying to play it cool, at least. This had gone horribly wrong.

"Let us." Because being nervous didn't just make him screw up words. It fucked up his contraction-skills, too.

Sam had to giggle at that, she couldn't help herself, and she tried to (badly) cover it with a cough.

"What?" Alex was confused. He didn't see anything funny here.

"Nothing.~ Now get down from the tree, dude."

But he's just gonna end back up in one eventually. Might as well save time. "Okay." So, Alex makes his way down the tree without killing himself. That's always good.

Sam just headed back to her house, 'cause that don't impress her much. Iunno. Shuffle keeps playing my mom's country music and I'm too lazy to make a playlist.

Alex follows wordlessly, not exactly excited about going back in there to face Leon. Again. But then, if he didn't, Sam would starve. Priorities.

Aw, good priorities, Alex. Sam was just... Yeah.

Much priority. But I'm sure if Leon said something to him, he'd run like a wimp outside again. Hopefully his backbone is as good as his priorities.

Leon's probably just going to ignore him, tbh.

Cool, then he's not going to pussy out. That's always good. On the brightest side, Sam gets her food. Which we all know is what matters here. *nodnod*

Sam opened the door for him, because manners, yo. Leon didn't even look up, glaring at Neya and J, "TEN MINUTES, NEYA! TEN MINUTES, I LET YOU TWO LEAVE AND THE COPS BRING YOU BACK?"

At this, Alex starts laughing. The only non-Neya thing about that was the cops actually caught her doing...whatever the hell she had been doing. Speaking of which... "What were you even doing?"

"I had Sam's beers in my purse, and we were just sitting in a tree. It was such bull." Neya told him with a completely serious tone.
"YOU ARE SO LUCKY THAT YOU'RE BOTH UNDER EIGHTEEN! J, YOU'LL BE AN ADULT IN TWO MONTHS! YOU CAN'T BE DOING THIS KIND OF STUFF!"

"So cops just interrogate kids in trees now? Okay." Good thing Sam got him the fuck out of the tree.

"No, someone dropped my bag on the way down."
"In my defense, you didn't tell me you were even throwing."
"I shouldn't have to!"
J spazzed, and just walked into the kitchen.

"At least you were not arrested?" Looking on the bright side of things, Alex decided to bring this up.

"Dad, why are you freaking out about this? Neya owns the police."
Neya nodded, "Thank you, Sam! They're my bitches!"

"That's true. Neya pretty much owns any authority figure." She probably could've dropped heroin on them and they still wouldn't arrest her or J, to be honest. Alex wasn't horribly concerned.

So at some point between France and Vegas, the twins actually made time to visit their family. Not without dragging everyone with them, though. There was no way in hell they could bear a family visit by themselves. Anne would choke someone, and Alex would end up breaking one of his cousins' arms accidentally on purpose. Whoops.

Sam shivered, about to break a door down, "Neya, hurry up."
"IT'D BE DONE IF SOMEONE REMEMBERED THE DAMN KEY!" Neya screeched, dropping her hands from the lock and glaring at Ella.
Ella smiled sheepishly, "They're on the counter...."
"IN THE DAMN HOUSE!" Neya snarled, going back to breaking into Louis' house.
